When Manfred Rudqvist in the 31st play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Willian de Alcântara kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 3-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Bruno Martini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ismael de Lara in the 34th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manfred Rudqvist got free with Willian de Alcântara in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 48 minutes into the match, THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA's goal looked a bit too open when Ľubomír Timčo came free, but Willian de Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

After a defensive mix-up in THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA's zone, Manfred Rudqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Willian de Alcântara came out of the goal and Manfred Rudqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anselmo Recife hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 82nd match minute, THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Recife to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA defense, Manfred Rudqvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Willian de Alcântara. The THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Willian de Alcântara should have stopped the shot. If Manfred Rudqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. THESPA KUSATSU GUNMA's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
