Pindobassu EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fenix Futebol Clube the free kick. Mário Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Pindobassu EC's Wilfredo Rodriguez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Carneiro in the 5th minute of play. It was a well-played corner which Denver Light managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Xande Gatin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 10th match minute, Pindobassu EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessandro Pavard to maneuver through the defense. Vaso Kolarević took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 11th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wilfredo Rodriguez. Pindobassu EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Fenix Futebol Clube's Joel Caton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Fenix Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. In the 17th minute Ricardo Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfredo Rodriguez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Fenix Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Bektaş Ali Toper hit a great ball. Xande Gatin scored 0-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilfredo Rodriguez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Wilfredo Rodriguez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ricardo Carneiro went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Andrézinho França charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andrézinho França the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 33 minutes into the game, one of Pindobassu EC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Wilfredo Rodriguez had in the 34thth minute some difficulties stopping Vaso Kolarević's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 34th minute, Vaso Kolarević ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilfredo Rodriguez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Geovânio Veiga was extremely unlucky when he, in the 37th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 39thth minute of the game Ricardo Carneiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pindobassu EC's Wilfredo Rodriguez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ricardo Carneiro in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilfredo Rodriguez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ricardo Carneiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilfredo Rodriguez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Wilfredo Rodriguez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Carneiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 46 minutes Pindobassu EC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Vaso Kolarević who took care of the corner kick. A collision led to Fenix Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Nestor da Rocha hit a great ball.

After 51st play minutes Xande Gatin shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Wilfredo Rodriguez and just under the crossbar into goal. After 59 played minutes Pindobassu EC got a freekick which was hit by Nilmar Vargas. Wilfredo Rodriguez was a little too slow when Xande Gatin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 0-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xande Gatin got free with Wilfredo Rodriguez in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joel Caton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovânio Veiga in the 68th minute of the match. Joel Caton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Geovânio Veiga's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Carneiro in the 76th minute of play forced Pindobassu EC's goalkeeper Wilfredo Rodriguez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th match minute, Pindobassu EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrézinho França to maneuver through the defense. Fenix Futebol Clube made a substitution. Reynaldo Jacinto replaced Ricardo Carneiro. Pindobassu EC's Humberto Diniz was substituted for Geovânio Veiga. In the 78th minute, Andrézinho França hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th minute, Fenix Futebol Clube's Reynaldo Jacinto dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. 82 minutes into the match, Pindobassu EC's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo Jacinto came free, but Wilfredo Rodriguez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilfredo Rodriguez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Reynaldo Jacinto went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. With his leg Wilfredo Rodriguez managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when Fenix Futebol Clube's Xande Gatin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Xande Gatin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfredo Rodriguez having to interfere. The Fenix Futebol Clube players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
