Edmundo Catarinense was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Karol Smolarek kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. The supporters of CRICIÚMA E.C. booed when Wolf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elói Guerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Wolf's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Kazimierz Madej might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edmundo Catarinense. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
