Luís Gustavo Peixoto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kazimierz Madej to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xandão Crouch in the 61st minute of play forced São Germano Paulista's goalkeeper Ruy Pinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ruy Pinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xandão Crouch in the 66th minute of play. Ruy Pinho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaime Cordeiro in the 68th minute. The supporters of São Germano Paulista booed when CRICIÚMA E.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Cordeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ruy Pinho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Kazimierz Madej who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of Ruy Pinho when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kazimierz Madej got free with Ruy Pinho in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kazimierz Madej received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Ruy Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jaime Cordeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Kazimierz Madej notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of São Germano Paulista's Ruy Pinho. Ruy Pinho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match was over CRICIÚMA E.C. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than São Germano Paulista throughout the match.
