Flavinho Dionísio started the match with the kick off. After 5 minutes of play, Vila Aurora FC's Flavinho Dionísio made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelo Lomba was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 9 minutes Esporte Club Bahia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Breno Borges who took care of the corner kick. With a little luck, Esporte Club Bahia's Marcelo Lomba got control of the ball when Flavinho Dionísio tried to sneak it across the goal line. A hard shot 19 in the game by Flavinho Dionísio from a close distance when the talented Marcelo Lomba managed to make a qualified save. Esporte Club Bahia's players were relieved. In the 20th minute of the match Vila Aurora FC got a corner. Esporte Club Bahia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Breno Borges ran over to the corner to take the kick. Chicão Leal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Eduardo Salles in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute Esporte Club Bahia were awarded a corner. Tiago Xavier went to the cornerflag to take it. Flavinho Dionísio was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 27th minute. Vila Aurora FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavinho Dionísio in the 27th minute of play forced Esporte Club Bahia's goalkeeper Marcelo Lomba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelo Lomba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Flavinho Dionísio's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Silvinho de Senna might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcelo Lomba. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silvinho de Senna ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcelo Lomba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavinho Dionísio in the 34th minute of the match. In the 35th minute Vila Aurora FC were awarded a corner. Breno Borges went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 40th minute Flavinho Dionísio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Lomba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, Silvinho de Senna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Marcelo Lomba was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clóvis Passos during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Clóvis Passos hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After 47 played minutes, Vila Aurora FC's Breno Borges shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcelo Lomba came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vila Aurora FC reached it.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luís Eduardo Salles made a kick off. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Flavinho Dionísio sped through Esporte Club Bahia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcelo Lomba. Gabriel Xavier's late challenge caught a Vila Aurora FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gabriel Xavier helped the player get up and apologised. Breno Borges succeeded in the game's 59th minute to get real power on a long shot . Esporte Club Bahia's Marcelo Lomba hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 5-0! When Adilson Tepedino came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Vila Aurora FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adilson Tepedino couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavinho Dionísio in the 66th minute of play forced Esporte Club Bahia's goalkeeper Marcelo Lomba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Vila Aurora FC's Flavinho Dionísio in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Flavinho Dionísio in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelo Lomba prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Vila Aurora FC fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when Vila Aurora FC's Flavinho Dionísio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 81 minutes into the game, Flavinho Dionísio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Marcelo Lomba was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Flavinho Dionísio struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Marcelo Lomba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vila Aurora FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Naldo Antunes in the 86th minute of play forced Esporte Club Bahia's goalkeeper Marcelo Lomba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Esporte Club Bahia's Luiz Gustavo Paes got a free kick in the 87th minute. Flavinho Dionísio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Esporte Club Bahia defense, Flavinho Dionísio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcelo Lomba. The Esporte Club Bahia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelo Lomba should have stopped the shot. 95 minutes into the match, Flavinho Dionísio notched a goal, 10-0, to the right of Esporte Club Bahia's Marcelo Lomba. Marcelo Lomba was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Vila Aurora FC fully deserved thier win.
