After having played for 11 minutes, Bernardinho Velasco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Loucos da Bola FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardinho Velasco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardinho Velasco in the 16th minute of play forced Atlético Campoverdense's goalkeeper Skafti Hermansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Loucos da Bola FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Eduardo Ceresso came free, but Inge Sundström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 21 minutes, Joaquim Corrêa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Loucos da Bola FC and the Atlético Campoverdense players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernardinho Velasco made a kick off. In the 54th match minute, Atlético Campoverdense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Eduardo Ceresso to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Skafti Hermansson managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when Loucos da Bola FC's Bernardinho Velasco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 73 minutes into the match, Atlético Campoverdense's goalkeeper Skafti Hermansson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Giovani Albuquerque. After 75 minutes of play Loucos da Bola FC's Joaquim Corrêa was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Atlético Campoverdense booed when Loucos da Bola FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Corrêa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernardinho Velasco might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Skafti Hermansson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernardinho Velasco ran back to his position shaking his head. Atlético Campoverdense's Skafti Hermansson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Campoverdense from getting a goal against them. If Jack Ekblom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Eduardo Ceresso in the 94th minute of play forced Loucos da Bola FC's goalkeeper Inge Sundström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atlético Campoverdense were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after Loucos da Bola FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Waldir Netto took the corner. After taking down the ball on Atlético Campoverdense's corner Waldir Netto fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Inge Sundström quite easily take care of the ball. Loucos da Bola FC played a much better game than Atlético Campoverdense and deserved their victory. The Atlético Campoverdense players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
