After a rather tough play, Agua Santa's Jânio Arantes got a free kick in the 5th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 10th minute of the game. One of Agua Santa:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Chaves do 8 FC:s goal. Caetano de Senna took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomé Mota. Tomé Mota dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Chaves do 8 FC's Júlio Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cipriano Pinho in the 14th minute of play. Tomé Mota didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pascual Bertin went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Tomé Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliézer Negri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 34 minutes, Olavo da Mata managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chaves do 8 FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olavo da Mata was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Agua Santa booed when Chaves do 8 FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anísio Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Eliézer Negri kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tomé Mota. That made the score 3-0 in the 40 minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pascual Bertin was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nico Quintal in the 54th minute of play forced Chaves do 8 FC's goalkeeper Júlio Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomé Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliézer Negri, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Percival Goiano took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomé Mota. Tomé Mota dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Agua Santa made a substitution. Olavo Vianna replaced Emanuel Vianna. Agua Santa's Pedro Luís Arantes was substituted for Murilo Fernandes. Agua Santa's Tomé Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascual Bertin in the 71st minute of play. A collision led to Chaves do 8 FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Eliézer Negri hit a great ball. In the 77th minute Pascual Bertin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomé Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomé Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascual Bertin in the 79th minute of play. Tomé Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pascual Bertin, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. 85 minutes into the game, Eliézer Negri cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Tomé Mota was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 92 minutes into the game, Téo Tróia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Agua Santa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chaves do 8 FC the free kick. In the 93rd minute, Téo Tróia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliézer Negri in the 94th minute of play forced Agua Santa's goalkeeper Tomé Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute, Pascual Bertin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomé Mota was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Chaves do 8 FC fully deserved thier win.
