The goal made the score 1-0. 8 minutes into the match, BAR100LONA's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldo da Mata came free, but Tadeusz Szotek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Clemente Matos got free with Bogumil Jarmulowicz in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luiz Fabiano Nóbrega kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rei Pelle in the 16th minute of play forced BAR100LONA's goalkeeper Tadeusz Szotek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, S.C. Internacional's goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Matos came free, but Bogumil Jarmulowicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Paulo Munhoz was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 18th minute. BAR100LONA's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The audience was convinced that Clemente Matos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bogumil Jarmulowicz was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. 27 minutes into the match, S.C. Internacional's goalkeeper Bogumil Jarmulowicz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clemente Matos. The crowd rose to their feet as Clemente Matos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bogumil Jarmulowicz. That made the score 2-0 in the 29 minute of play. In the 45th minute of the match Piero Madrid shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bogumil Jarmulowicz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bogumil Jarmulowicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clemente Matos in the 46th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Osvaldo da Mata stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, S.C. Internacional's goal looked a bit too open when João Paulo Munhoz came free, but Bogumil Jarmulowicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jefferson Sergipano during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 58 minutes into the game, Genaro Remir was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bogumil Jarmulowicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clemente Matos in the 61st minute of the match. If João Paulo Munhoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th match minute, BAR100LONA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Steele to maneuver through the defense. S.C. Internacional's Rei Pelle got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 70 minutes into the match, S.C. Internacional's goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Matos came free, but Bogumil Jarmulowicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Clemente Matos put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Bogumil Jarmulowicz. Bogumil Jarmulowicz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dênis Maia's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clemente Matos in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bogumil Jarmulowicz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bogumil Jarmulowicz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from João Paulo Munhoz went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Bogumil Jarmulowicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clemente Matos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Osvaldo da Mata struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Tadeusz Szotek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.C. Internacional. In the 94thth minute of the game Clemente Matos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but S.C. Internacional's Bogumil Jarmulowicz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 97th match minute, S.C. Internacional was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fabiano Nóbrega to maneuver through the defense.
