The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elder Mazza in the 8th minute of play forced MAZER SAF's goalkeeper Toninho Schmidt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rota66's goalkeeper Eduardo Tinoco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Toninho Schmidt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Túlio Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Toninho Schmidt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Túlio Torres in the 16th minute of the match. Afonsinho Medeiros hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute Manfredo de Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Tinoco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, MAZER SAF's Toninho Schmidt got control of the ball when Túlio Torres tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eduardo Tinoco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Renato Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Toninho Schmidt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Túlio Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. Toninho Schmidt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basílio Jacinto in the 94th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Rota66 players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
