The audience thought a goal was coming when Nestor Fontenelle got free with Toninho Schmidt in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nestor Fontenelle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Toninho Schmidt made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yu Chao Gang got free with Toninho Schmidt in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 9th minute, Progresso FC's Yu Chao Gang dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilberto de Lima during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Toninho Schmidt made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Yu Chao Gang sent off a good shot on target. Toninho Schmidt was out of position in the 22 minute of play, and Nestor Fontenelle capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nestor Fontenelle really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. 25 minutes into the game, Nestor Fontenelle recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Toninho Schmidt. Nestor Fontenelle showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Yu Chao Gang kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Toninho Schmidt. That made the score 4-0 in the 31 minute of play. In the 34th minute, Adrian Onbera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 40 minutes into the match, MAZER SAF's goalkeeper Toninho Schmidt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yu Chao Gang. Nestor Fontenelle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Toninho Schmidt made a huge save. MAZER SAF's Toninho Schmidt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save MAZER SAF from getting a goal against them. After 45 played minutes MAZER SAF got a freekick which was hit by Matheus Bidaut. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

A collision led to MAZER SAF getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Pedro Luiz Prestes hit a great ball. MAZER SAF's Toninho Schmidt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Fontenelle in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th minute Nestor Fontenelle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toninho Schmidt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Benedito Sergipano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Progresso FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Benedito Sergipano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Toninho Schmidt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nestor Fontenelle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Toninho Schmidt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amílton Talló went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Toninho Schmidt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nestor Fontenelle's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. In the 76th minute of the match Progresso FC got a corner. MAZER SAF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Benedito Sergipano ran over to the corner to take the kick. Benedito Sergipano made a great header on Progresso FC's corner, it was just that MAZER SAF's Toninho Schmidt managed to reach the ball for a save. Toninho Schmidt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor Fontenelle, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After a rather tough play, Progresso FC's Adrian Onbera got a free kick in the 80th minute. Progresso FC's Konrad Gardocki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Héctor Hernández in the 86th minute of play. Pedro Luiz Prestes kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yu Chao Gang in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Toninho Schmidt saved MAZER SAF from getting behind. MAZER SAF's Toninho Schmidt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amílton Talló in the 91st minute of play. Toninho Schmidt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto de Lima in the 92nd minute of the match. The supporters of Progresso FC booed when MAZER SAF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enéas Ceresso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Progresso FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
