When Christiano Novaes fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mamute's protests and gave Christiano Novaes a yellow card for diving instead. Paris Saint German were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after Mamute's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bebeto Nóbrega took the corner. Zé Carlos Pernambucano thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Jarbas Lopez, a very annoying self made goal in the 20th minute which led to 2-0. Çelik Kadem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kosmas Trabakoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Mamute's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Marty Whitmore scored to the left of an out of position Jarbas Lopez, making the score, 3-0. Paris Saint German's Yan Aparecido shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 28th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jarbas Lopez but with some difficulty. Jarbas Lopez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marty Whitmore in the 90th minute of play. 91 minutes into the game, Silas de Brito cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Jarbas Lopez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. For all the effort they put into the match, the Mamute players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Paris Saint German.
