In the 19th minute, Nestor Fontenelle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Çelik Kadem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yu Chao Gang, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After 23 minutes Paris Saint German's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Benedito Sergipano who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Progresso FC's Benedito Sergipano to fire away a dangerous shot which Çelik Kadem despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Gilberto de Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 27 minutes into the match, Marty Whitmore dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Konrad Gardocki, 2-0. Konrad Gardocki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silas de Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Nestor Fontenelle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Çelik Kadem was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. In the 51st match minute, Progresso FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rudy Lindsholt to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute Paris Saint German were awarded a corner. Marty Whitmore went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Marty Whitmore got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Konrad Gardocki quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Amílton Talló managed to get in a good position for a shot. Progresso FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Amílton Talló was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Çelik Kadem breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 67thth minute of the game Bogdan Siniştean who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Progresso FC's Konrad Gardocki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hồ Ho lost his temper 68 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After a rather tough play, Paris Saint German's Hồ Ho got a free kick in the 69th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Progresso FC's Benedito Sergipano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Çelik Kadem narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
