Natanael Breckenfeld made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 毛明昆 in the 11th minute of play. After 12 played minutes União São José FC got a freekick which was hit by Ivo Lago. Rony Dudu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Natanael Breckenfeld tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Rony Dudu made a precise shot to the right of Natanael Breckenfeld. União São José FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 毛明昆 in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Natanael Breckenfeld saved União São José FC from getting behind. Proteu were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after União São José FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Armando Piacentini took the corner. Natanael Breckenfeld came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Proteu's Rony Dudu. But to his dismay, Rony Dudu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 29th minute, Claudinei Vinhas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd minute, 毛明昆 left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Proteu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. If Rony Dudu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 38thth minute of the game Rony Dudu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but União São José FC's Natanael Breckenfeld was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. União São José FC's Natanael Breckenfeld played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 毛明昆 in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st match minute, Proteu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arthur Meireles to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, 毛明昆 managed to get in a good position for a shot. Proteu's supporters rose to their feet, but 毛明昆 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Natanael Breckenfeld breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 46th minute, Claudinei Vinhas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when 毛明昆 made the kick off in the second half. Rony Dudu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Natanael Breckenfeld having to make a save. After 53 minutes União São José FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Armando Piacentini who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Rony Dudu heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Tercero Segundo struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Natanael Breckenfeld didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Proteu. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind União São José FC's goalkeeper Natanael Breckenfeld, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Natanael Breckenfeld made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Rony Dudu sent off a good shot on target. 毛明昆 blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Natanael Breckenfeld having to make a save. Natanael Breckenfeld showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 毛明昆 in the 67th minute of the match. Casimiro Ignatius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gernando Félix in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st minute of the match União São José FC got a corner. Proteu's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marco de Salles ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gil Meirelles in the 74th minute of play forced Proteu's goalkeeper Casimiro Ignatius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute of the match Tercero Segundo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Natanael Breckenfeld skillfully saved the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rony Dudu got free with Natanael Breckenfeld in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Natanael Breckenfeld didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rony Dudu went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Natanael Breckenfeld was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and 毛明昆 capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. 毛明昆 really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Rony Dudu struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Natanael Breckenfeld didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Proteu. In the 88th minute Maurício Nogueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casimiro Ignatius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Proteu's Rony Dudu got a free kick in the 94th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Proteu walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
