The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tales Prado hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 11 minutes into the match, Bonita's goalkeeper Léo Tinoco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gernando Félix. In the 16th minute, Cezary Walaszkiewicz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Léo Tinoco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurício Nogueira in the 18th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Denílson Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 22 minutes, Juarês do Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. União São José FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juarês do Valle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 26th minute Cezary Walaszkiewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lauro da Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Léo Tinoco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurício Nogueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Maurício Nogueira took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Léo Tinoco to make any attempt to save it. In the 34th match minute, Bonita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cezary Walaszkiewicz to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of União São José FC booed when Bonita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denílson Martins didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 42 minutes of play, União São José FC's Juarês do Valle made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Léo Tinoco was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Gil Meirelles in the 46th minute of play forced Bonita's goalkeeper Léo Tinoco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Léo Tinoco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juarês do Valle in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 52nd minute Gil Meirelles suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 52 minutes, Denílson Martins mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bonita and the União São José FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. União São José FC's Natanael Breckenfeld was substituted for Gil Meirelles. Léo Tinoco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natanael Breckenfeld, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 66th minute of the match Bonita got a corner. União São José FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cezary Walaszkiewicz ran over to the corner to take the kick. Maurício Nogueira took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Léo Tinoco. Léo Tinoco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. A collision led to União São José FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Maurício Nogueira hit a great ball. Glauco Botelho hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute of the match Cezary Walaszkiewicz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lauro da Silveira skillfully saved the ball. 74 minutes into the game, Juarês do Valle cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Léo Tinoco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tony Correia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Léo Tinoco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juarês do Valle in the 82nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurício Nogueira in the 83rd minute of play forced Bonita's goalkeeper Léo Tinoco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
