The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Edvaldo Miranda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Márcio de Azevedo in the 3rd minute. In the 6th minute, Luiz Fabiano Ortiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gonçalo Soeiro got free with Edvaldo Miranda in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Glauco Marquez charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Glauco Marquez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 11th match minute, SAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glauco Marquez to maneuver through the defense. Oranil's Márcio de Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oranil's Gonçalo Soeiro was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 19th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Oranil's Téo Koehler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Guilherme Severo in the 25th minute of play. Cristiano Tepedino took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Téo Koehler. Téo Koehler dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Oranil's zone, Luís Guilherme Severo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Téo Koehler came out of the goal and Luís Guilherme Severo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 31 minutes, Roger Tasso made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Oranil's Téo Koehler tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 35 minutes into the match, Roger Tasso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Téo Koehler. Oranil's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roger Tasso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. In the 40th minute, Cristiano Tepedino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SAS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. In the 45th match minute, Oranil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacinto de Salles to maneuver through the defense. After the first half SAS were leading 2-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roger Tasso was the one to do the kick off. Roger Tasso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Téo Koehler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gonçalo Soeiro in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edvaldo Miranda saved SAS from getting behind. In the 63rdth minute of the game Gonçalo Soeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SAS's Edvaldo Miranda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Soeiro in the 66th minute of play forced SAS's goalkeeper Edvaldo Miranda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gildo Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Roger Tasso didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 2-6 via right post in the game's 70th minute. SAS's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! In the 73rd minute of the match, Luís Guilherme Severo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Téo Koehler saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Osmar Guedes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Téo Koehler made a huge save. After 77 minutes, Alfredo Velloso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SAS and the Oranil players grew even worse after the yellow card. Téo Koehler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Guilherme Severo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Téo Koehler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Tepedino, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 91st minute Luís Guilherme Severo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Téo Koehler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beto Urbano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Téo Koehler made a huge save.
