If Dráuzio Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 14 minutes into the match, Manituba's goalkeeper Pedro Augusto Pinho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dráuzio Loureiro. The Manituba fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Manituba's Cyprian Czerny looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Pedro Augusto Pinho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alex de Alcântara went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Manituba booed when Caravelas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evaristo Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Caravelas FC fully deserved thier win.
