Naldo da Rocha made in the 12th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FÊNIX F.C.'s Kauã Moreno. In the 13th match minute, FÊNIX F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Paulo Prata to maneuver through the defense. Bengt Bouchard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Décio Rezende read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. After having played for 16 minutes, Marquinhos Teixeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FÊNIX F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Marquinhos Teixeira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 26 minutes into the game, Bengt Bouchard cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Décio Rezende was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 29th match minute, FÊNIX F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jailson Favoretto to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute of the match, Erwin Soto tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alfredo Paraibano saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Caveira F.C's Erwin Soto in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The FÊNIX F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when FÊNIX F.C.'s Bengt Bouchard looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Décio Rezende came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by FÊNIX F.C.'s Bengt Bouchard. But to his dismay, Bengt Bouchard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Bengt Bouchard made the kick off in the second half. Bengt Bouchard blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Décio Rezende having to make a save. With a little luck, Caveira F.C's Décio Rezende got control of the ball when Bengt Bouchard tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 58thth minute of the game Bengt Bouchard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caveira F.C's Décio Rezende was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. FÊNIX F.C.'s Alfredo Paraibano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erwin Soto in the 59th minute of play. Caveira F.C's Décio Rezende proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Caveira F.C from getting a goal against them. Bengt Bouchard might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Décio Rezende. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bengt Bouchard ran back to his position shaking his head. Bengt Bouchard blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Décio Rezende having to make a save. Bengt Bouchard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bengt Bouchard got free with Décio Rezende in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to FÊNIX F.C. getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Bengt Bouchard hit a great ball. FÊNIX F.C.'s Genílson Ferraz was substituted for João Carlos Medeiros. Bengt Bouchard kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, Caveira F.C's goalkeeper Décio Rezende had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bengt Bouchard. Décio Rezende acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 78th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Marquinhos Teixeira. During the 79th minute of the match Naldo da Rocha completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Naldo da Rocha a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Caveira F.C's Naldo da Rocha got a free kick in the 79th minute. Bengt Bouchard succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-4 in the 81st playminute. Bengt Bouchard struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Décio Rezende didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FÊNIX F.C.. After 94 played minutes Caveira F.C got a freekick which was hit by Norberto Novaes. A hard shot by Marquinhos Teixeira from long distance, 94 minutes into the match, got Décio Rezende's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. FÊNIX F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
