The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erwin Soto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Duda Varela could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Décio Rezende made a huge save. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Erwin Soto sped through Jacaresinho V.T.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Osvaldo Fantini. Jacaresinho V.T.'s Zé Paulo Schmidt managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Conrado do Valle in the 71 minute of the game. 75 minutes into the match, Caveira F.C's goalkeeper Décio Rezende had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Léo Xavier. 76 minutes into the game, Maksymilian Sanocki was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 94thth minute of the game Erwin Soto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jacaresinho V.T.'s Osvaldo Fantini was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 98th match minute, Jacaresinho V.T. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Alberto Neiva to maneuver through the defense. The Jacaresinho V.T. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Jacaresinho V.T. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
