After 12 minutes, Fabiano Diniz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tiki Tiki Uberaba and the A. A. SAQUAREMA players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fabiano Diniz hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After having played for 19 minutes, Fabiano Diniz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tiki Tiki Uberaba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabiano Diniz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 20th minute, Valdo Dracena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Fabiano Diniz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tiki Tiki Uberaba's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabiano Diniz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelinho Quadros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aníbal Brasil kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Waldir Fernandez hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Tiki Tiki Uberaba's Aníbal Brasil got a free kick in the 27th minute. Waldir Fernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When A. A. SAQUAREMA's Benjamin Brereton in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Marcelinho Quadros came out of the goal and Dedê Mangueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. André Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dé Vasconcelos having to interfere. After 42 played minutes Tiki Tiki Uberaba got a freekick which was hit by Aníbal Brasil. When Benjamin Brereton came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the A. A. SAQUAREMA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benjamin Brereton couldn't finish the play. After 45 minutes of play, A. A. SAQUAREMA's Dedé Salles made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dé Vasconcelos was left in no man's land by his defense there! After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Benjamin Brereton to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as A. A. SAQUAREMA's Benjamin Brereton slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dé Vasconcelos. That made the score 1-2 after 53 minutes of play. Marcelinho Quadros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabiano Diniz's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Tiki Tiki Uberaba's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Seco came free, but Dé Vasconcelos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabiano Diniz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Tiki Tiki Uberaba's Dé Vasconcelos got control of the ball when André Simões tried to sneak it across the goal line. 77 minutes into the game, Tiki Tiki Uberaba's Fabiano Diniz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcelinho Quadros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Dé Vasconcelos made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Benjamin Brereton sent off a good shot on target. Leonel Seco received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dé Vasconcelos came out and tried to block the shot, but Leonel Seco slotted it home off the left post making it 2-4 in the 86th minute. After 90 minutes, Dedê Mangueira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tiki Tiki Uberaba and the A. A. SAQUAREMA players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dedê Mangueira hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Benjamin Brereton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dé Vasconcelos was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. A collision led to Tiki Tiki Uberaba getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Dedê Mangueira hit a great ball. When the match was over A. A. SAQUAREMA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Tiki Tiki Uberaba throughout the match.
