SAQUAREMA's Kaká Vinhas got a free kick in the 6th minute. 13 minutes into the match, AÇAÍ SA's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Brereton came free, but Hendrik-Jan Brugmans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute Gabirel Jesus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelinho Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by André Simões during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 27 played minutes A. A. SAQUAREMA got a freekick which was hit by André Simões. Marcelinho Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabirel Jesus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Gabirel Jesus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcelinho Quadros was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Marcelinho Quadros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aquiles Papo in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabirel Jesus in the 40th minute of play forced A. A. SAQUAREMA's goalkeeper Marcelinho Quadros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When Benjamin Brereton came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the A. A. SAQUAREMA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benjamin Brereton couldn't finish the play. The supporters of AÇAÍ SA booed when A. A. SAQUAREMA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arne Svensson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelinho Quadros came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by AÇAÍ SA's Gabirel Jesus. But to his dismay, Gabirel Jesus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 85 minutes into the match, A. A. SAQUAREMA's goal looked a bit too open when Aquiles Papo came free, but Marcelinho Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hendrik-Jan Brugmans made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benjamin Brereton in the 87th minute. Hendrik-Jan Brugmans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dedé Salles, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. AÇAÍ SA's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
