With his leg João Paulo Urbano managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Marília AC's Renatinho Tavares fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renatinho Tavares in the 27th minute of play forced S.C. Reis United's goalkeeper João Paulo Urbano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd play minute Renatinho Tavares came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised João Paulo Urbano. 4-0. The Marília AC fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Marília AC's Renatinho Tavares looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

When Marília AC's Renatinho Tavares in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye S.C. Reis United's goalie prevented a goal. Renatinho Tavares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. João Paulo Urbano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renatinho Tavares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacinto Loureiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Betão de Carvalho in the 55th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the game, Marília AC's Renatinho Tavares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. João Paulo Urbano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. 64 minutes into the game, Renatinho Tavares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. João Paulo Urbano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marília AC's Geronimo Ignatius was substituted for Eriberto Lucas. After some careless play in the S.C. Reis United defense, Akın Seccac kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Paulo Urbano. The S.C. Reis United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Paulo Urbano should have stopped the shot. 78 minutes into the match, Renatinho Tavares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Paulo Urbano. S.C. Reis United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Renatinho Tavares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 11-0. Marília AC's Delfim de Andrade was substituted for Renatinho Tavares. Marília AC's Jacinto Loureiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elói Koehler in the 85th minute of play. João Paulo Urbano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delfim de Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. If Delfim de Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 89th minute Delfim de Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Paulo Urbano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marília AC's Bai Feng Ting quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Natanael Maranhense, made in the 91st minute of the game. João Paulo Urbano came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Marília AC's Delfim de Andrade. But to his dismay, Delfim de Andrade quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 12-0.
