Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Haroldo Loureiro got the match started through his kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Haroldo Loureiro in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ronaldo Barral saved CORINTHIANS from getting behind. Wilson Veiga scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ernesto Dracena, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Adalberto Passos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wilson Veiga struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Ernesto Dracena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CORINTHIANS. Adalberto Passos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Dracena having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Célio Mazza took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Ronaldo Barral to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adalberto Passos in the 24th minute of play forced Gororos's goalkeeper Ernesto Dracena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adalberto Passos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Dracena having to interfere. Ernesto Dracena was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ernesto Dracena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adalberto Passos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Augusto Braga hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After 39 played minutes Gororos got a freekick which was hit by Horácio Moraes. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wilson Veiga to strike the kick off in the second half. 59 minutes into the match, Haroldo Loureiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ronaldo Barral. CORINTHIANS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Haroldo Loureiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. Ronaldo Barral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rômulo Leite in the 64th minute of play. The attack was good, but when Adalberto Passos in the 72nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. CORINTHIANS's Caio Paiva was substituted for Artur Bueno. CORINTHIANS made a substitution. Rui Borges replaced Erasmo Ramos. A collision led to CORINTHIANS getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Urtsín Dumont hit a great ball. 85 minutes into the match, CORINTHIANS's goal looked a bit too open when Célio Mazza came free, but Ronaldo Barral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the game, Haroldo Loureiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-4. Ronaldo Barral was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Wilson Veiga's late challenge caught a Gororos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilson Veiga helped the player get up and apologised. Wilson Veiga kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in CORINTHIANS fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 93rd minute. Penalty! Ronaldo Barral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Célio Mazza in the 99th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Rômulo Leite's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ronaldo Barral was relentless in the 101st minute of the game. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
