Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Rômulo Leite who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Vito Linhares when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Gororos getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Haroldo Loureiro hit a great ball. Bahia's Vito Linhares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Loureiro in the 31st minute of play. Rômulo Leite blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vito Linhares having to make a save. In the 96th minute, Pedrinho Veiga reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ernesto Dracena. The goal made the score 2-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Bahia eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
