Bahia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tiago Gabriel Botelho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Gil de Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrinho Veiga in the 9th minute of play. Vito Linhares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiago Gabriel Botelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After 14 played minutes Metoloko FC got a freekick which was hit by Cipriano Figueiredo. Gil de Almeida made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vágner Pires in the 15th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Pedrinho Veiga kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gil de Almeida. That made the score 1-1 in the 17 minute of play. After 21 minutes, Sidney Meira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bahia and the Metoloko FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Bahia's Sidney Meira got a free kick in the 21st minute. Vito Linhares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tiago Gabriel Botelho's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Gil de Almeida made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vágner Pires in the 28th minute. Gil de Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedrinho Veiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiago Gabriel Botelho in the 37th minute of play forced Bahia's goalkeeper Vito Linhares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tiago Gabriel Botelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vito Linhares having to interfere. In the 40th match minute, Bahia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Guerra to maneuver through the defense. Pedrinho Veiga scored 2-1 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gil de Almeida, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tiago Gabriel Botelho to strike the kick off in the second half. After 60 played minutes Metoloko FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Luís Tasso. 63 minutes into the match, Tiago Gabriel Botelho notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Bahia's Vito Linhares. Vito Linhares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vito Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Luís Tasso in the 68th minute of play. 71 minutes into the game, Tiago Gabriel Botelho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vito Linhares. Tiago Gabriel Botelho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-4. Tiago Gabriel Botelho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Vito Linhares made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Metoloko FC's Cipriano Figueiredo got a free kick in the 81st minute. After 87 minutes, Pedrinho Veiga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bahia and the Metoloko FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vito Linhares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tiago Gabriel Botelho in the 89th minute. Tiago Gabriel Botelho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vito Linhares came out and tried to block the shot, but Tiago Gabriel Botelho slotted it home off the left post making it 2-5 in the 91st minute. The Bahia fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Metoloko FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
