In the 46th minute, Dieguinho da Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Dilapdar were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

During the 51st minute of the match Roger Guerra completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 60th minute, Hernani Rodrigues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ademar Arantes couldn't finish the play. Ademar Arantes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Vito Linhares when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Vito Linhares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ademar Arantes, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Dieguinho da Silveira hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The Bahia fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Dilapdar were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
