The corner led Martelet's Kusko Galarza to fire away a dangerous shot which Răzvan Fințescu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Joel Paraíba took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Baldomiro Navarro. Baldomiro Navarro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Téo Munhoz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Răzvan Fințescu made a huge save. 32 minutes into the game, Geovani do Nascimento was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lunáticos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Martelet the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Paraíba in the 37th minute of play forced Martelet's goalkeeper Baldomiro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serafim Zanette might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Răzvan Fințescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Serafim Zanette ran back to his position shaking his head. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Geovani do Nascimento was the one to do the kick off. If Téo Munhoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Răzvan Fințescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Serafim Zanette's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Răzvan Fințescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafim Zanette, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 59 minutes, Serafim Zanette managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Martelet's supporters crossed their fingers, but Serafim Zanette was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 64 played minutes Martelet got a freekick which was hit by Serafim Zanette. Geovani do Nascimento who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Baldomiro Navarro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Răzvan Fințescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafim Zanette, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Walmir Britto during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Walmir Britto hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Frederico Rodrigues made a great header on Martelet's corner, it was just that Lunáticos FC's Răzvan Fințescu managed to reach the ball for a save. 85 minutes into the match, Serafim Zanette had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Răzvan Fințescu. Lunáticos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Serafim Zanette was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The audience was convinced that Serafim Zanette's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Răzvan Fințescu was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. In the 90th minute, Serafim Zanette left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Martelet fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Gonzalo Azibar kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joel Paraíba got free with Baldomiro Navarro in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Martelet fully deserved thier win.
