C.D PAVILHAO 9 F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Sid Lampard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Victor Ortle sped through Lunáticos FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Răzvan Fințescu. Victor Ortle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Răzvan Fințescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. If Walmir Britto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute, Lunáticos FC's Geovani do Nascimento ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Betinho Moura. Betinho Moura yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Betinho Moura breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Victor Ortle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Răzvan Fințescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torbjørn Trondsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Geovani do Nascimento was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Victor Ortle notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Lunáticos FC's Răzvan Fințescu. Răzvan Fințescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 62 minutes into the game, José Pedro Ribeiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lunáticos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.D PAVILHAO 9 F.C. the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Lunáticos FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 61st minute. Penalty! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victor Ortle in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Răzvan Fințescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 69 played minutes Lunáticos FC got a freekick which was hit by Zézinho Lago. After a rather tough play, Lunáticos FC's Zézinho Lago got a free kick in the 70th minute. Răzvan Fințescu made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Vágner Severo sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vágner Severo got free with Răzvan Fințescu in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Răzvan Fințescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sid Lampard, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Răzvan Fințescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sid Lampard went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. 78 minutes into the match, Lunáticos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vágner Severo came free, but Răzvan Fințescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sid Lampard in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Răzvan Fințescu saved Lunáticos FC from getting behind. The shot was stopped by Răzvan Fințescu but with some difficulty. Vágner Severo made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 92ndth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Răzvan Fințescu would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post.
