Dráuzio Toledo was slow to take the kick. During this time FENIX FC's players had a chance to rest. Dênis Lara hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 18 minutes into the match, FENIX FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rubens Reis came free, but João Paulo Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustavo Unai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rune Gustafsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Gustavo Unai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rune Gustafsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rune Gustafsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Unai having to interfere. Rune Gustafsson charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rune Gustafsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rune Gustafsson kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Orlando Arósio got free with Gustavo Unai in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rune Gustafsson to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Orlando Arósio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Unai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustavo Unai dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Rune Gustafsson put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Gustavo Unai. In the 73rd minute, Vladimir Zhdanov made a precise shot to the right of Gustavo Unai. BURITIS FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. João Paulo Silva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edson Azevedo went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. BURITIS FC's Gustavo Unai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rune Gustafsson in the 81st minute of play. Gustavo Unai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rune Gustafsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Silas Dionísio kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. FENIX FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
