Spectators: 7709 (Terracing: 5783, Seating: 1773, VIP seats: 153) Cristóvão Alvarenga started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd minute, Discovery's Aníbal Ribeiro seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Aníbal Ribeiro the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Discovery protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Aníbal Ribeiro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Discovery fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 3rd minute. Penalty! Godfredo Teodor went to the wrong direction when Mateus Paulista was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Mateus Paulista took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Godfredo Teodor. Godfredo Teodor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 12 minutes into the game, Hyrol MzFC's Ernani Mesquita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Godfredo Teodor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Hyrol MzFC's Luís Paulo Cordeiro got a free kick in the 15th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Discovery's Michalis Villas broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 18 minutes into the game, Ian Cavalcante was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Discovery's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hyrol MzFC the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Discovery fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 18th minute. Penalty! Discovery's Godfredo Teodor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateus Paulista in the 21st minute of play. Godfredo Teodor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateus Paulista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute, Luís Paulo Cordeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the match, Discovery's goal looked a bit too open when Mateus Paulista came free, but Godfredo Teodor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Mateus Paulista managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hyrol MzFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mateus Paulista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Godfredo Teodor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 39 minutes into the match, Discovery's Gualter do Valle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fiori Matos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cristóvão Alvarenga's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 41stth minute, Fiori Matos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Fábio Branco fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hyrol MzFC's protests and gave Fábio Branco a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th match minute, Hyrol MzFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fábio Branco to maneuver through the defense. Gualter do Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fiori Matos having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mateus Paulista to make the kick off. Godfredo Teodor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mateus Paulista, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. The supporters of Hyrol MzFC booed when Discovery was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. 许冰亮 didn't get a good kick on the ball. Godfredo Teodor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mateus Paulista in the 70th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Doni da Silva during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 71st minute, Doni da Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 72 minutes into the match, Discovery's goalkeeper Godfredo Teodor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mateus Paulista. 许冰亮 made in the 76th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Filipe Palmeira however managed to control. In the 87th minute Cristóvão Alvarenga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fiori Matos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Hyrol MzFC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Fábio Branco hit a great ball. Chants of Hyrol MzFC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Discovery had held the ball for most of the match.
