Spectators: 7682 (Terracing: 5762, Seating: 1767, VIP seats: 153) Selemengo's Diguinho do Vale started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Selemengo's zone, Andoni Donadoni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armandinho Neto made a great header on Inter de Munique's corner, it was just that Selemengo's Gualter da Cunha managed to reach the ball for a save. 7 minutes into the game, Inter de Munique's Andoni Donadoni nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gualter da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andoni Donadoni in the 30th minute of the match. Inter de Munique's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Armandinho Neto in the 31st minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Reinaldo Damião heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After 33 played minutes Selemengo got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Neves. Andoni Donadoni's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gualter da Cunha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. After some careless play in the Selemengo defense, Nilmar Eger kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gualter da Cunha. The Selemengo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gualter da Cunha should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Inter de Munique's Nilmar Eger got a free kick in the 40th minute. Gualter da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilmar Eger in the 42nd minute of play. Renato Pitta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Fabrício Simões made a huge save.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andoni Donadoni made a kick off. Gualter da Cunha was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Andoni Donadoni showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 51 minute of play. That made the score 0-8 in the 67 minute of play. Inter de Munique made a substitution. Fabiano Teixeira replaced Nilmar Eger. Through an outstanding action, after 74 minutes, Gualter da Cunha successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andoni Donadoni in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gualter da Cunha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fabiano Teixeira struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Gualter da Cunha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inter de Munique. If Armandinho Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 79thth minute of the game Andoni Donadoni who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Selemengo's Gualter da Cunha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 0-9 when Fabiano Teixeira sped through Selemengo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gualter da Cunha. In the 83rd minute, Andoni Donadoni fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. With an all-out effort, Inter de Munique's Gualter da Cunha threw himself towards the right post 84 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Andoni Donadoni, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gualter da Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabiano Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. If Reinaldo Damião had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
