Hyrol MzFC's attentive Reynaldo Montenegro managed to snatch the ball when Hélio Lucas made a throw-in in the 9th minute of the game. Gualter da Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateus Paulista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Ernani Mesquita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gualter da Cunha. That made the score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. Mateus Paulista blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gualter da Cunha having to make a save. Hyrol MzFC's Reynaldo Montenegro managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Edgar Duarte in the 23 minute of the game. Mateus Paulista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 29 minutes into the match, Selemengo's goal looked a bit too open when Mateus Paulista came free, but Gualter da Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgar Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Mateus Paulista put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Gualter da Cunha. In the 39th minute, Renato Pitta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernani Mesquita might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gualter da Cunha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ernani Mesquita ran back to his position shaking his head. Ernani Mesquita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gualter da Cunha having to make a save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Ernani Mesquita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hyrol MzFC's Ernani Mesquita got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mateus Paulista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gualter da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mateus Paulista in the 60th minute of play. Mateus Paulista might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gualter da Cunha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mateus Paulista ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 63rd minute Mateus Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualter da Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gualter da Cunha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mateus Paulista's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. In the 67th minute Hyrol MzFC were awarded a corner. Fábio Branco went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Hyrol MzFC's Gabriel Marinho to a score. 4-0 in the 67th minute. Enrique Neves made in the 70th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Severino Azevedo immediately put the ball in play. Tomé Guerra hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Gualter da Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mateus Paulista, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After some careless play in the Selemengo defense, Mateus Paulista kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gualter da Cunha. The Selemengo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gualter da Cunha should have stopped the shot. Gualter da Cunha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mateus Paulista's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. A collision led to Hyrol MzFC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Cido Fonseca hit a great ball. Selemengo's Gualter da Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateus Paulista in the 95th minute of play.
