The referee showed Diguinho do Vale the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Selemengo's Diguinho do Vale got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 32nd minute, Ian Cavalcante reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gualter da Cunha. The goal made the score 2-0. In the 35th minute, Selemengo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Doni da Silva fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 39 minutes into the match, Selemengo's goal looked a bit too open when Ian Cavalcante came free, but Gualter da Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 40 played minutes Discovery got a freekick which was hit by Gualter do Valle. Cristóvão Alvarenga's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gualter da Cunha firmly grabbed it by the left post. Doni da Silvas short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Gualter da Cunha to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 47 minutes into the match, Selemengo's goalkeeper Gualter da Cunha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristóvão Alvarenga. Gualter da Cunha was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristóvão Alvarenga showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 47 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristóvão Alvarenga was the one to do the kick off. Enrique Neves hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Ian Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Discovery's Godfredo Teodor got control of the ball when Renato Pitta tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gualter da Cunha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 80th match minute, Discovery was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Restu to maneuver through the defense. Severino Azevedo hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Cristóvão Alvarenga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cristóvão Alvarenga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gualter da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ian Cavalcante in the 94th minute of play. In the 95th minute Severino Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godfredo Teodor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Discovery's defense didn't have a chance, in the 95th minute, when Severino Azevedo scored to the left of an out of position Godfredo Teodor, making the score, 5-1. Discovery walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
