Spectators: 7673 (Terracing: 5755, Seating: 1765, VIP seats: 153) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Chico Antunes got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute of the match, Turkka Jatkola got a very nice opportunity to score, but Julio-César Fenomeno was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 8 minutes into the match, Gongonhas SS's goal looked a bit too open when Knut Västerberg came free, but Julio-César Fenomeno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Turkka Jatkola came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the F.C Águias de Ouro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Turkka Jatkola couldn't finish the play. After 19 played minutes F.C Águias de Ouro got a freekick which was hit by Viator Cambuquira. Raimundo Vianna made in the 28th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Chico Antunes immediately put the ball in play. After a defensive mix-up in F.C Águias de Ouro's zone, Chico Antunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mehmet Edip Nazmi came out of the goal and Chico Antunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Teodor Spineanu's late challenge caught a Gongonhas SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teodor Spineanu helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, F.C Águias de Ouro's Teodor Spineanu got a free kick in the 34th minute. The supporters of Gongonhas SS booed when F.C Águias de Ouro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Turkka Jatkola didn't get a good kick on the ball. Knut Västerberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio-César Fenomeno having to make a save. Knut Västerberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to F.C Águias de Ouro getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Knut Västerberg hit a great ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After a rather tough play, Gongonhas SS's Elias Arantes got a free kick in the 55th minute. Julio-César Fenomeno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Turkka Jatkola, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. The corner led F.C Águias de Ouro's Ota Rio to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio-César Fenomeno despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Knut Västerberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Turkka Jatkola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Célio Trevisan during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Célio Trevisan kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Gongonhas SS's Julio-César Fenomeno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yıldırım Orguntay in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st match minute, F.C Águias de Ouro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viator Cambuquira to maneuver through the defense. Mehmet Edip Nazmi was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Dito da Silva. The supporters of F.C Águias de Ouro booed when Gongonhas SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elias Arantes didn't get a good kick on the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. F.C Águias de Ouro fully deserved thier win.
