Kacper Tobiass made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Luís Eduardo Mazza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremy Coulter in the 10th minute of the match. Kacper Tobiass showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manfredo Travassos, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by LUZ SS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. José Augusto de Andrade was slow to take the kick. During this time Belo Academy's players had a chance to rest. Kacper Tobiass stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manfredo Travassos's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Kacper Tobiass showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manfredo Travassos, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. A collision led to LUZ SS getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Ciro Guedes hit a great ball. In the 26th minute of the match Belo Academy got a corner. LUZ SS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. José Augusto de Andrade ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Belo Academy's Isaltino Dantas to a score. 1-3 in the 26th minute. Manfredo Travassos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kacper Tobiass read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, LUZ SS's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardinho Leão came free, but Kacper Tobiass reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Belo Academy booed when LUZ SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremy Coulter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kacper Tobiass showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manfredo Travassos, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 44 minutes into the game, Ciro Guedes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LUZ SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Belo Academy the free kick. A collision led to Belo Academy getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Manfredo Travassos hit a great ball. After 47 played minutes LUZ SS got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Guedes.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jeremy Coulter to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Manfredo Travassos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Kacper Tobiass was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Belo Academy's Luís Eduardo Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremy Coulter in the 57th minute of play. Kacper Tobiass made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Manfredo Travassos sent off a good shot on target. Belo Academy were awarded a corner in the 61th minute after LUZ SS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. José Augusto de Andrade took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Luizão Dinamite managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. LUZ SS's Kacper Tobiass played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manfredo Travassos in the 67th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manfredo Travassos in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kacper Tobiass saved LUZ SS from getting behind. 69 minutes into the match, LUZ SS's goal looked a bit too open when Manfredo Travassos came free, but Kacper Tobiass reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 69 minutes of play, Belo Academy's Manfredo Travassos made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kacper Tobiass was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Manfredo Travassos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kacper Tobiass was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. In the 73rd match minute, LUZ SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Coelho to maneuver through the defense. Manfredo Travassos struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Kacper Tobiass didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belo Academy. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Manfredo Travassos put it in 1-7 from a short distance just to the right of Kacper Tobiass. Kacper Tobiass made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manfredo Travassos in the 79th minute of play. The corner led Belo Academy's Manfredo Travassos to fire away a dangerous shot which Kacper Tobiass despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 82nd minute, Isaltino Dantas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Belo Academy's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by José Augusto de Andrade in the 87th minute. Belo Academy's José Augusto de Andrade was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Kacper Tobiass in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Manfredo Travassos put it in 1-8 from a short distance just to the right of Kacper Tobiass. In the 92nd minute Manfredo Travassos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kacper Tobiass saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Manfredo Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Belo Academy supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Belo Academy would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
