With a couple of smart ball manuevers Per-Arne Delin in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio-César Fenomeno saved Gongonhas SS from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Per-Arne Delin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio-César Fenomeno was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. Fraco Zago kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the game, Xabier Cardeñosa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Talento Futebol clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gongonhas SS the free kick. In the 15th minute, Xabier Cardeñosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Talento Futebol clube's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fraco Zago in the 19th minute. The corner led Talento Futebol clube's Raimundo Reis to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio-César Fenomeno despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 23rd match minute, Gongonhas SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias Arantes to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th match minute, Talento Futebol clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fraco Zago to maneuver through the defense. Carlinhos Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio-César Fenomeno having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Per-Arne Delin in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio-César Fenomeno prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 31 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Talento Futebol clube's Per-Arne Delin fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Per-Arne Delin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Per-Arne Delin kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Julio-César Fenomeno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per-Arne Delin in the 44th minute of play. The supporters of Gongonhas SS booed when Talento Futebol clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Reis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Chico Antunes made the kick off in the second half. Fraco Zago hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Per-Arne Delin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlinhos Velasco might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio-César Fenomeno. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlinhos Velasco ran back to his position shaking his head. When Carlinhos Velasco came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Talento Futebol clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlinhos Velasco couldn't finish the play. Julio-César Fenomeno didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Per-Arne Delin went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Julio-César Fenomeno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xabier Cardeñosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 78 minutes into the game, Zhu Zhen Ran cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Julio-César Fenomeno was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Julio-César Fenomeno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlinhos Velasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Saul Francho kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. When the match was over Talento Futebol clube could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Gongonhas SS throughout the match.
