An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulisses Barbosa in the 4th minute of play forced Timão F.C.'s goalkeeper Celestino Gervaso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Felizberto EC's goal looked a bit too open when Vali Mălaimare came free, but Marcus Sampaio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Timão F.C.'s Toto Škarpa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcus Sampaio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Celestino Gervaso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dalmo Netto in the 21st minute of play. Toto Škarpa in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Marcus Sampaio, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Toto Škarpa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Sampaio having to interfere. In the 41st minute Ulisses Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celestino Gervaso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Toto Škarpa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcus Sampaio was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Toto Škarpa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Toto Škarpa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute, Vali Mălaimare hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcus Sampaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toto Škarpa in the 68th minute of play. A collision led to Felizberto EC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Dieguinho Salgado hit a great ball. Celestino Gervaso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeferson Furtado in the 73rd minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Timão F.C.'s goalkeeper Celestino Gervaso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ulisses Barbosa. The supporters of Felizberto EC booed when Timão F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antônio Guimarães didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ulisses Barbosa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Celestino Gervaso made a huge save. When Vali Mălaimare fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Timão F.C.'s protests and gave Vali Mălaimare a yellow card for diving instead. Celestino Gervaso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeferson Furtado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Timão F.C. getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Van 郑志 hit a great ball. Felizberto EC's Per Löfkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Fabinho Valadares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcus Sampaio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Toto Škarpa's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
