Dedé Tróia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 25 minutes into the game, Goiás Esporte Clube's Edgard Cabral nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dedé Tróia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Edgard Cabral blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dedé Tróia having to make a save. 43 minutes into the game, Goiás Esporte Clube's Osmar de Moraes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

PAPACÚDACABEÇAROXA's Luizão Antunes quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Benigno Ixona, made in the 51st minute of the game. Dedé Tróia came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Goiás Esporte Clube's Osmar de Moraes. But to his dismay, Osmar de Moraes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Dedé Tróia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgard Cabral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edgard Cabral blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dedé Tróia having to make a save. After 61 minutes, Olavo Mangueira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PAPACÚDACABEÇAROXA and the Goiás Esporte Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. Olavo Mangueira kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 64 minutes into the game, when Edmundo Cunha put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in PAPACÚDACABEÇAROXA fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! Goiás Esporte Clube's Christian Carioca managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Olavo Mangueira in the 72 minute of the game. 72 minutes into the match, PAPACÚDACABEÇAROXA's goalkeeper Dedé Tróia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgard Cabral. The supporters of PAPACÚDACABEÇAROXA booed when Goiás Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Carioca didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Edgard Cabral put it in 0-8 from a short distance just to the right of Dedé Tróia. PAPACÚDACABEÇAROXA's Dedé Tróia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Cabral in the 88th minute of play. Dedé Tróia was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Osmar de Moraes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Osmar de Moraes really showed his touch with that goal: 0-9. 94 minutes into the match, PAPACÚDACABEÇAROXA's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Cabral came free, but Dedé Tróia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 97th minute, Goiás Esporte Clube's Osmar de Moraes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-10. When the final whistle sounded Goiás Esporte Clube left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than PAPACÚDACABEÇAROXA.
