The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edmund Balkiewicz during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aki Nao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmund Balkiewicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute Gonçalo Urbano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guga de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacareipe's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Justo Enmanuel in the 19th minute. Guga de Azevedo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sílvio Luiz Mazza went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Xandeco FC's zone, Justo Enmanuel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aki Nao showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmund Balkiewicz in the 85th minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Edmund Balkiewicz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aki Nao. Jacareipe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edmund Balkiewicz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. After 93 played minutes Jacareipe got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Luiz Mazza. The audience was convinced that Edmund Balkiewicz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aki Nao was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. When the match was over Xandeco FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Jacareipe throughout the match.
