Edu Novaes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marco Ordono took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edu Novaes. Edu Novaes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. When German Berto came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Novorizontino - DMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that German Berto couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Brejo SS's Edu Novaes got control of the ball when Cauan Linhares tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Cauan Linhares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edu Novaes was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Brejo SS's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
