Pantanal's Luiz Fábio Paes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raí de Amorim in the 16th minute of play. If Jan Koller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jan Koller made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reginaldo Romero during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Raí de Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 66th minute, Rose Gold FC's Filippo Tundo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Luiz Fábio Paes. Luiz Fábio Paes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. In the 70th minute, Rafael Schmidt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Filippo Tundo took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Luiz Fábio Paes to make any attempt to save it. After 80 played minutes Rose Gold FC got a freekick which was hit by Baltazar de Medeiros. Vítor Cuesta, 81 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 83rd minute, Jan Koller left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pantanal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-5. In the 90th match minute, Pantanal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moisés Paraense to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Rose Gold FC booed when Pantanal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gil Ponta didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Rose Gold FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
