The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With an all-out effort, EC Fragata's Aírton Queirós threw himself towards the right post 8 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marcus Valladares, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to EC Fragata getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Thomás Sá hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sílvio Corrêa in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Gustavo Barreto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 14 minutes into the game, Marcus Valladares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. EC Fragata's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quebra Ossos FC the free kick. A collision led to EC Fragata getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Marcus Valladares hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sílvio Corrêa in the 18th minute of play forced EC Fragata's goalkeeper Luís Gustavo Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Dé Prado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 22nd minute, Marcus Valladares fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Aírton Queirós, passed just outside the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Quebra Ossos FC's zone, Marcus Valladares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aírton Queirós came out of the goal and Marcus Valladares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Marcus Valladares managed to get in a good position for a shot. EC Fragata's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcus Valladares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aírton Queirós breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Dé Prado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Quebra Ossos FC fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Quebra Ossos FC's Sílvio Corrêa looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Dé Prado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute of the match, Marcus Valladares tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Aírton Queirós saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Quebra Ossos FC's Sílvio Luís Matorin in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye EC Fragata's goalie prevented a goal. Dé Prado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcus Valladares couldn't finish the play. Aírton Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Valladares, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sílvio Corrêa made a kick off. Luís Gustavo Barreto didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Quebra Ossos FC's Sílvio Corrêa shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Quebra Ossos FC's Aírton Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dé Prado in the 58th minute of play. Aírton Queirós came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by EC Fragata's Marcus Valladares. But to his dismay, Marcus Valladares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Dênis de Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute, Sílvio Corrêa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcus Valladares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Quebra Ossos FC booed when EC Fragata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dé Prado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dênis de Salles struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Luís Gustavo Barreto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quebra Ossos FC. In the 82nd match minute, EC Fragata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrianinho Alvarenga to maneuver through the defense. In the 88th minute, Sílvio Corrêa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Quebra Ossos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Quebra Ossos FC's Sílvio Corrêa was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 96th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal.
