Spectators: 7386 (Terracing: 5786, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Marcus Valladares kicked off to start the match. After 3 minutes, Adrianinho Alvarenga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the EC Fragata and the Gremio NG players grew even worse after the yellow card. Adrianinho Alvarenga hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Gremio NG's Raimundo Travassos shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 4th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Luís Gustavo Barreto but with some difficulty. Luís Gustavo Barreto made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Júnior Quintana sent off a good shot on target. If Marcus Valladares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 13 minutes into the match, Júnior Quintana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luís Gustavo Barreto. EC Fragata's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Júnior Quintana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Luís Gustavo Barreto was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Júnior Quintana showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 19 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Gremio NG's Luiz Fabiano Paraíba got a free kick in the 24th minute. After some careless play in the EC Fragata defense, Júnior Quintana kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Gustavo Barreto. The EC Fragata fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Gustavo Barreto should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, EC Fragata's Luís Lara got a free kick in the 29th minute. A collision led to EC Fragata getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Alan Carioca hit a great ball. Raimundo Travassos's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Luís Gustavo Barreto on his right side and into the goal. 31 minutes into the game it was 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Travassos in the 33rd minute of play forced EC Fragata's goalkeeper Luís Gustavo Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute Luís Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fábio Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcus Valladares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Gustavo Barreto made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Júnior Quintana sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dino do Vale in the 41st minute of play forced EC Fragata's goalkeeper Luís Gustavo Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 45 played minutes EC Fragata got a freekick which was hit by Alan Carioca. In the 45th minute, Raimundo Travassos fired a really elegant long shot, but Luís Gustavo Barreto threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Luís Gustavo Barreto was a little too slow when Raimundo Travassos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 6-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 56th minute Júnior Quintana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Gustavo Barreto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Raimundo Travassos came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Gremio NG fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raimundo Travassos couldn't finish the play. Fábio Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Valladares in the 62nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, EC Fragata's Adrianinho Alvarenga got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 66th minute, Raimundo Travassos sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and EC Fragata's Luís Gustavo Barreto didn't even have to move. Luís Gustavo Barreto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júnior Quintana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. EC Fragata's Luís Gustavo Barreto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júnior Quintana in the 70th minute of play. Marcus Valladares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Fábio Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Lara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Fábio Pinheiro made a huge save. Luís Gustavo Barreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dino do Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Luís Gustavo Barreto came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Gremio NG's Júnior Quintana. But to his dismay, Júnior Quintana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 10-0. Thomás Sá hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Gremio NG's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
