The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Torreão OFF's Kaur Laving quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Osmar Peres, made in the 7th minute of the game. Eliseu Coelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeca Oliveira having to interfere. After some careless play in the Dementadores defense, Ezequiel Ortiz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zeca Oliveira. The Dementadores fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zeca Oliveira should have stopped the shot. After 12 played minutes Dementadores got a freekick which was hit by Marlin Rosas. 16 minutes into the match, Ezequiel Ortiz notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Dementadores's Zeca Oliveira. Zeca Oliveira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kaur Laving hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. 23 minutes into the game, Torreão OFF's Ezequiel Ortiz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zeca Oliveira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Osmar Peres's late challenge caught a Torreão OFF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Osmar Peres helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Torreão OFF booed when Dementadores was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osmar Peres didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Ezequiel Ortiz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Zeca Oliveira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eliseu Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 31 minutes of play Dementadores's Osmar Peres was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Eliseu Coelho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Torreão OFF's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseu Coelho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 48th minute there was a penalty for Torreão OFF. Kaur Laving stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Zeca Oliveira. 0-9. After the first half Torreão OFF were leading 0-9. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ezequiel Ortiz was the one to do the kick off. Ezequiel Ortiz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zeca Oliveira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Ezequiel Ortiz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zeca Oliveira was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-11. Dementadores's Zeca Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel Ortiz in the 64th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Ezequiel Ortiz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Torreão OFF's supporters rose to their feet, but Ezequiel Ortiz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zeca Oliveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zeca Oliveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ezequiel Ortiz in the 72nd minute of play. Zeca Oliveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ezequiel Ortiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
