After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Murilo Prestes managed to get in a good position for a shot. SORRISO E. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Murilo Prestes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zeca Oliveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Murilo Prestes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zeca Oliveira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. SORRISO E. C.'s Caco Azevedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save SORRISO E. C. from getting a goal against them. Dementadores's Zeca Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murilo Prestes in the 14th minute of play. Murilo Prestes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Zeca Oliveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The throw-in from Edmílson da Rocha in the 23rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Dementadores's Osmar Peres. Murilo Prestes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Zeca Oliveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 0-1 became the score in the 28th minute when Cléber da Costa elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Zeca Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murilo Prestes in the 30th minute of the match. Allan Heidemann kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Murilo Prestes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dariusz Jaruzelski in the 35th minute of play forced SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Caco Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zeca Oliveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cléber da Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 37 minutes into the match, SORRISO E. C.'s Murilo Prestes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zeca Oliveira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. If Murilo Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the match, SORRISO E. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Marlin Rosas came free, but Caco Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of SORRISO E. C. booed when Dementadores was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osmar Peres didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Dariusz Jaruzelski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zeca Oliveira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Murilo Prestes's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Régis Paes's late challenge caught a SORRISO E. C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Régis Paes helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Dementadores getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Régis Paes hit a great ball. Dementadores's defense didn't have a chance, in the 93rd minute, when Murilo Prestes scored to the left of an out of position Zeca Oliveira, making the score, 0-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SORRISO E. C. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
