Bruninho Cardoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Víktor Pitta's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Operario F C - MS's goal looked a bit too open when Cesinha Braga came free, but Frank Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tião Nascimento in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruninho Cardoso saved Marianville Juniors FC from getting behind. Víktor Pitta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Bruninho Cardoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bruninho Cardoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tião Nascimento's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. 19 minutes into the game, one of Marianville Juniors FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Bruninho Cardoso had in the 21stth minute some difficulties stopping Naldo Gomes's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 24th play minute Manoel Donato came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Frank Torres. 1-0. Cesinha Braga hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Bruninho Cardoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tião Nascimento in the 34th minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Víktor Pitta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bruninho Cardoso. Marianville Juniors FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Víktor Pitta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Cesinha Braga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Frank Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Marianville Juniors FC's zone, Tião Nascimento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruninho Cardoso came out of the goal and Tião Nascimento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cesinha Braga was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Marianville Juniors FC booed when Operario F C - MS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Naldo Gomes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Marianville Juniors FC's Arnaldo Guerra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Frank Torres narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Manoel Donato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Operario F C - MS booed when Marianville Juniors FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiago Custódio didn't get a good kick on the ball. André Veloso kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Operario F C - MS's Frank Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesinha Braga in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th match minute, Operario F C - MS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedrinho Vargas to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute, Cesinha Braga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frank Torres was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 75th minute, Conrado Vinhas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 77 minutes, Cesinha Braga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marianville Juniors FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cesinha Braga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tadeu Damião kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Cesinha Braga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frank Torres was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. 89 minutes into the match, Cesinha Braga notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Operario F C - MS's Frank Torres. Frank Torres was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Beto Quadros during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A nice corner shot did that Naldo Gomes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bruninho Cardoso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Operario F C - MS's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
