Breno Machado was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Percival Bezerra showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 17 minute of play. Percival Bezerra in the 20thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Breno Machado, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 24th minute, Duda Arantes made a precise shot to the right of Carlos Alberto Gerber. Badejo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. In the 27th minute Duda Arantes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Alberto Gerber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arlindo Esteves hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Edgard Fantini could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Breno Machado made a huge save. Percival Bezerras short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Breno Machado to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eliseo Abarca during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 41 minutes, João da Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jung 1972 and the Badejo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Duda Arantes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Carlos Alberto Gerber made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Willian Maciel sent off a good shot on target. After 54 played minutes Badejo FC got a freekick which was hit by Arlindo Esteves. Edgard Fantini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Willian Maciel got free with Carlos Alberto Gerber in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Willian Maciel kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Carlos Alberto Gerber. That made the score 1-5 in the 68 minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Edgard Fantini got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Badejo FC's Arlindo Esteves got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 84 minutes, Percival Bezerra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Badejo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Percival Bezerra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Badejo FC's Carlos Alberto Gerber proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Badejo FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgard Fantini in the 93rd minute of play forced Jung 1972's goalkeeper Breno Machado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jung 1972 were furious when Ramón Guerra was red carded, 95 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Badejo FC's Percival Bezerra got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over Jung 1972 could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Badejo FC throughout the match.
