The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Percival Bezerra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fellipe Messias was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. In the 8th minute, Badejo FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Silvio Nastasio fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Alberto Ackermans short, quick shot in the 13thth minute got Carlos Alberto Gerber to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 14th minute, Horácio Capixaba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Alberto Gerber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Ackerman in the 15th minute of play. Horácio Capixaba hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Edgard Fantini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlos Alberto Gerber didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberto Ackerman went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Alberto Ackerman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Alberto Gerber was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Badejo FC defense, Alberto Ackerman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Alberto Gerber. The Badejo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Alberto Gerber should have stopped the shot. Verdão da Mogiana's Alberto Ackerman was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 41st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Alberto Ackerman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Carlos Alberto Gerber came out and tried to block the shot, but Alberto Ackerman slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Percival Bezerra made a kick off. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Alberto Ackerman sped through Badejo FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Carlos Alberto Gerber. Carlos Alberto Gerber came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Verdão da Mogiana's Alberto Ackerman. But to his dismay, Alberto Ackerman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. 75 minutes into the match, Badejo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Ackerman came free, but Carlos Alberto Gerber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciro Rodrigues scored 7-0 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carlos Alberto Gerber, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Silvio Nastasio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Alberto Gerber read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. The Verdão da Mogiana fans' excitement grew in the 82nd match minute when Verdão da Mogiana's Alberto Ackerman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 85 minutes into the match, Alberto Ackerman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carlos Alberto Gerber. Badejo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberto Ackerman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. After a rather tough play, Badejo FC's Rodrigo Proença got a free kick in the 88th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Verdão da Mogiana had played much better football throughout.
