After some careless play in the Quidombo SC defense, Genílson Carneiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Severino Elia. The Quidombo SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Severino Elia should have stopped the shot. Oséas de Queiroz was a little too slow when João Carlos Proença got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 2-2. Silvinho Rocha was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 43 minutes into the match. Silvinho Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilian Netto to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Bresser III Futebol Clube's Wilton Barreto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Severino Elia. That made the score 4-3 after 91 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Osvaldinho Furtado during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 94 played minutes Quidombo SC got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldinho Furtado. Quidombo SC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
