Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Trahira FC's Romário de Souza started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 3 minutes, Romário de Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trahira FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romário de Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 7th minute, Emiliano Rubial got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Piem's Dinei Dracena got a free kick in the 12th minute. Rony Pinho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mateus Linhares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Piem's goalkeeper Gilmar Camargo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 25 played minutes Trahira FC got a freekick which was hit by Fellipe Sabóia. Gilmar Camargo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Rubial in the 31st minute of play. Emiliano Rubial struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Gilmar Camargo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trahira FC. After a rather tough play, Trahira FC's Cláudio Pires got a free kick in the 35th minute. The supporters of Piem booed when Trahira FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caetano de Salles didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Gerson Xavier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 44 minutes, Emiliano Rubial managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romário de Souza in the 46th minute of play forced Piem's goalkeeper Gilmar Camargo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Gerson Xavier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateus Linhares having to interfere. Trahira FC's Mateus Linhares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rony Pinho in the 54th minute of play. Gerson Xavier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute, Emiliano Rubial made a precise shot to the right of Gilmar Camargo. Piem's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. An unexpected shot in the 64th minute by Romário de Souza got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 73rd minute of the match Piem got a corner. Trahira FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sydney Neto ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 78th match minute, Piem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edvaldo Borges to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute, Diguinho Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Romário de Souza came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Trahira FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romário de Souza couldn't finish the play. In the 87th minute, Trahira FC's Emiliano Rubial ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gilmar Camargo. Gilmar Camargo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. In the 93rd minute Gerson Xavier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateus Linhares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trahira FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
