Gato Preto FC's Dênis Alcântara got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bruno Henrique took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Válter Peixoto. Válter Peixoto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. If Mourad Amirouche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Messias in the 24th minute of play forced Gato Preto FC's goalkeeper Chicão Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the game, Robinho de Medeiros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gato Preto FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sport Guild Atlantis the free kick. Robinho de Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Savas Zavadskiy struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Chicão Peixoto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sport Guild Atlantis. 29 minutes into the game, Sport Guild Atlantis's Mourad Amirouche nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chicão Peixoto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Chicão Peixoto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Savas Zavadskiy, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Savas Zavadskiy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sport Guild Atlantis's supporters rose to their feet, but Savas Zavadskiy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chicão Peixoto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 39th match minute, Sport Guild Atlantis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Célio Palmeira to maneuver through the defense. Chicão Peixoto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Messias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the match, Sport Guild Atlantis's goalkeeper Válter Peixoto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cauan Abraão. After having played for 45 minutes, André Messias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sport Guild Atlantis's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Messias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After 63 minutes, Eliodor Vasiloiu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sport Guild Atlantis and the Gato Preto FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. This resulted in a 1-5 score and a disappointed Chicão Peixoto as he didn't even see the shot coming. After having played for 85 minutes, André Messias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Messias couldn't finish the play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chicão Peixoto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sport Guild Atlantis's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
